The Metabolic and Cardiovascular Disease (DK-MCD) PhD program is a joint educational program of the Medical University of Graz and the University of Graz. DK-MCD offers a multidisciplinary training program and dissertation projects in the areas "New Concepts and Technologies for Studying Metabolic and Cardiovascular Disease," "Lipid-associated Diseases," "Cancer and Lipid Metabolism" and "Cardiovascular Disease." The educational program covers a broad range of topics including molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, metabolomics, proteomics, physiology, pharmacology, pathology and clinical medicine.
The goal is to provide a solid doctoral education in biomedicine that prepares graduates for a career as independent researchers in biomedicine and the life sciences.
