Diagnostik- & Forschungs- (D&F) Institut für Pathologie

Institute staff conduct research on clinical symptoms in 14 research teams. The main topic is to explore the causes, nature and consequences of disease in close contact with clinical medicine using morphological and molecular biology methods. In addition, the institute has established research that focuses on the microbiome and high-risk pathogens. What is significant about our research teams is that they are directly embedded in and linked to the topics of the research center.

Genetic and environmental mechanisms of disease

Forschungsschwerpunkt Mikrobiom

Microbiome

Research into the microbiome as a pathogenetic factor in disease development, establishment of microbiome-based diagnostic methods and development of microbiome-based therapies.
